Limited Edition Tory Burch-designed FEED Bag

The limited edition Tory Burch-designed FEED bags launched back in May and are exclusively sold at Holt Renfrew in Canada. Each bag purchased will help reach the goal of raising $100,000 for the FEED Foundation and the Tory Burch Foundation.

“I am so thrilled to partner with FEED on this initiative,” says Tory Burch CEO and designer Tory Burch. “I have always admired the organization’s mission to help children around the world. When this opportunity came up we didn’t have to think twice—the collaboration between Holt Renfrew, FEED, our brand and our foundation was a natural fit from the beginning.”

Available in three variations, the bag combines Tory Burch’s unique color combinations and FEED’s iconic burlap. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the $50 tote will support both foundations effectively empowering women and children by investing in their futures.

Coach + Bonnie Cashin

My sis-n-law, who loves all things Coach, sent me a text earlier this week about Coach’s Bonnie bags. I finally went to the Coach website to see what all the fuss was about…all I can say, is Coach has launched yet another inspiring collection. Coach’s Bonnie Collection was inspired by Bonnie Cashin’s handbag designs from the early 1960s, known for bright candy colors, exterior coin purses and matching accessories. Cashin introduced a notion of “fashionable function” to her vintage designs, which Coach has reinterpreted for today’s woman, adding a modern twist. Thus, the Coach “Cashin Carry” bags and accessories were born. I can’t begin to decide which are my favorites!

With the Bonnie Collection comes several new Coach styles to choose from! I am naturally attracted to color, so one of my favorites is a little out of my budget at $1,000. However, I think they are a great investment because they’re practical, thoughtfully designed, and really cute! Coach continues to deliver fresh designs and haute collaborations. Haute Collab: Paule Marrot+Hayden-Harnett

Hayden-Harnett has quickly become one of my favorite handbag labels! Each collection is better than the last which is sometimes difficult to achieve. Hayden-Harnett has collaborated with the extremely talented Paule Marrot to introduce an exclusive leather and fabric handbag collection, Paule Marrot Editions by Hayden-Harnett.

Marrot studied painting under the tutelage of Pierre-August Renoir, Raoul Dufy, and Maurice Denis while growing up in the Alsace region of France. She quickly blossomed as a print designer, producing a staggering array of modern prints that captivated many across the globe, including Jackie Kennedy.

Louis Vuitton Graffiti Returns

Marc Jacobs strips down to show off Louis Vuitton’s latest It-bag. In celebration of Stephen Sprouse’s book and exhibition, Louis Vuitton is releasing a limited edition collection of neon graffiti accessories. The original Louis Vuitton + Sprouse collaboration was so haute, there was a waiting list for the must have It-bags. Stephen Sprouse, a high-fashion designer in the 80s, was best known for his “street style” and blurring the lines between fashion, art, music and design.

Haute Collab: Lacoste + Vogue = Pink Croc

Store Opening: Louis Vuitton + Comme des Garçons

The Louis Vuitton + Comme des Garçons Pop Up Store opened on September 3rd at Dover Street Market in Aoyama Tokyo’s fashion district. Japanese fashion editors and local celebrities were in attendance to be the first to purchase Rei Kawakubo’s designs for Louis Vuitton.

To celebrate Louis Vuitton’s 30th anniversary in Japan, Louis Vuitton will open a store inside Comme des Garçons for three months beginning in September. They will offer six bags designed by Rei Kawakubo in Vuitton’s signature monogram pattern. Rei Kawakubo, established the high fashion house Comme des Garçons in Tokyo in 1973. With the introduction of her line in Paris in 1981, Kawakubo created a sensation with her androgynous and innovative design, and is regarded as one of the three major avant-garde designers from Japan, alongside Issey Miyake and Yohji Yamamoto.

Kawakubo’s exclusive collection consists of two Party bags, small evening purses with outsized natural leather handles; two customized classic Louis Vuitton bags, endowing the Papillon with kawaii (cute) animal charms and the Mini HL with multiple slender handles; and two reedited iconic designs from the 1970s – the Petit Marceau and the Sac 2 Poches. The bags will only be available upon order only at the “Louis Vuitton at Comme des Garçons store”. The lucky customers will receive a certificate inside a special card holder in Louis Vuitton’s traditional natural leather, embossed with the Louis Vuitton at Comme des Garçons signature. Other iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram bags, such as the Speedy and Alma chosen by Rei Kawakubo, will also be on display and available for immediate sale inside this special “Louis Vuitton at Comme des Garçons” store.
