It’s not often that I find a MICHAEL Michael Kors bag for under $100, so you can imagine my surprise when I came across the MICHAEL Michael Kors Hamilton trompe l’oeil cotton-canvas tote.  It’s perfect for those weekends when you want to go casual and carry a bag that’s light and easy.  I love the bright red cotton-canvas with the black and gold trompe l’oeil print.  Price: $80.00 at NET-A-PORTER.COM.

I don’t get to the Old Navy store often so I stop by the website every couple of weeks to see what’s new and what’s on sale.  My latest haute bag under $50.00 is actually under $20.00!  The Old Navy Snake-Print Tote is on sale for $14.00 (regular price: $19.94).  It’s 100% cotton with a braided faux-leather shoulder straps, fully-lined interior, and interior snap closure.

I noticed there were a few reviews indicating that the bag looks cheap.  Keep in mind that once you pair the bag with your outfit, it won’t look the same as it did hanging on the rack.  If it only last 6 months, remember that it was a steal at $14.oo!

Just in at Nordstrom is the Tory Burch Channing Printed Canvas Tote!  I appreciate a canvas bag that’s both stylish and versatile.  It’s the perfect summer bag/beach bag, don’t you think?  I love the turquoise and navy seashell print! It has leather piping trim along the edge with rustic woven handles and a cutout logo medallion.  It features hidden magnetic and interior chain-bridge closures, interior zip, wall and cell phone pockets. Valentine’s Day should not be the only time of year that you express your love for those special people in your life.  That being said, I will begin posting a few Valentine’s Day gift ideas as February 14th approaches.  My first pick is the Diane Von Furstenberg “Love is Life” Balloon Tote. I like the scribble print accented with red hearts. It’s actually designed to be a beach bag. Brahmin, a New England handbag company, has worked with Vogue to design a limited-edition tote for Fashion’s Night Out on September 10, 2010.  Five dollars from the sale of each $45 bag will be donated to the NYC AIDS Fund.

Trina Turk has become one of my favorite designers for obvious reasons.  She has mastered the use of bold colors and prints without it ever looking overdone.  While shopping at Bloomingdale’s, I discovered the Trina Turk Chevron Print Essential Tote, and have added it to my fall wish list.  Made of coated canvas with leather trim, it has interior zip pocket, cell phone and additional pockets.  Price:  $198.00 at Bloomingdale’s.
